Crown Adjustment

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

Often I wonder why as women we are stuck in the same place. Why can’t we elevate, as women we go through so much physically mentally and emotionally. Often are plates are heavy and the crowns we bear are almost impossible to carry.

So I’d like to talk about why it’s so hard for us as women especially black women to uplift each other, a complement goes along way, sometimes we just need to hear you’re doing good, or Sis what can I help you with so that you can get to where you need to be. I mean don’t get me wrong I was once guiltily of the same thing. It was easier to dislike another female and bad mouth her or down talk her because of whatever issues we were having, then to try and understand the place she was in at that moment.

The older you get the more you understand how important it is to water yourself as well as other people around you. I’ve learned if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing. You never know what someone’s breaking point is, when they are at their lowest they may still smile like they’re at their highest. We deal with anxiety we deal with men downgrading us, We work full-time jobs, we raise families, and so much more . sometimes we have to take on the role of being A doctor, chef, a therapist I mean the list just goes on and on.

so instead of laughing at another woman’s pain, or speaking down on her, how about we water each other. Let’s start adjusting our crowns so that we can help the next Sister adjust her crown.

Love and peace

until next time …… BE GOLDEN
